Twilight Alice Bracelet

i have a major question about book 3 of the twilight series can someone help me?……?

In the book eclipse when edward gives glass like, heart to bella for her bracelet and then later alice asks why she is not wearing the ring and then says oh well he’s already got one diamound on you and looks at bellas bracelet what does she mean by that?

oh and if you have anything else to say about the book let me know i would really like to hear about your thoughts on this book or anything about the upcoming book breaking dawn.

It means that Edward knew that Bella would not accept an expensive gift from him. So he told Bella, or let her think, that the heart charm was glass or crystal. She doesn’t know that it’s a diamond.

Alice is unaware that Edward was keeping it a secret. So she was surprised by Bella’s refusal to wear a ring (because it was too expensive. Diamonds, yikes!) when she was already wearing a diamond that Edward had givien to her.

As for upcoming problems, I predict many.

My theory is that the Volturi are going to get involved with the Cullens somehow. They didn’t try to save them in Eclipse, for one thing. They don’t like them. If Bella is changed, my guess would be that the Volturi are going to take advantage of that and try to make her leave the Cullens because of her blood lust.

I think Jacob has stopped trying to win Bella back, but he hasn’t stopped loving her. That’s where the title is, when he says he is the sunlight, and he can fight the clouds, but not an Eclipse, meaning Edward. When she is changed, he will still love Bella, but not be able to see her as Bella anymore until the point where it becomes necessary to fight for her existence (since she wouldn’t technically be alive to die). Which will happen. Bella will always attract danger.

Edward will try to keep her from changing for as long as possible. How this will figure into the plot I don’t know, but he may need to change her at a time inconvenient for her in order to save her from the Volturi.

And I don’t think you can hate Jacob Black after Eclipse. Finally you understand that in Jacob’s mind, Edward is incapable of love. Now, if Edward doesn’t love Bella, what does he want in her? The answer would be that Edward is simply playing games with her. Now, because of that, Jacob is going to try ANY WAY HE CAN to win Bella back, to keep her from getting hurt like Edward hurt her in New Moon. This makes him a little more likeable when he does things you want to hate him for, like kissing Bella, for example.

Edward is the perfect guy. He is not manipulating Bella because he loves her so much, and Jacob doesn’t, can’t, understand that.

You know that Bella is going to end up with Edward, no contest, but you still feel sorry for the underdog (no pun intended). If he doesn’t imprint on someone though, I think he will die to save Bella, which would be ultra sad. He can’t be left mourning Bella (unless she dies, and it’s really hard to kill off your main character if it’s written in first person, LOL) because that would be a loose end. So he either imprints on somebody else and ends up with a nice girl and forgets about Bella, or he redeems himself, by saving her and dying in the effort.

Even if all of this happens in Breaking Dawn, there will still be more involved plot-wise. I’m excited.

About the title… Bella has always been on the nighttime side, but never quite crossing over into the daytime, which I would translate as happiness. I think she will break into Edward’s world, like the sun into the dawn. It could also refer to Jacob breaking, as Jacob is the daytime, and Edward the night. But that could be completely wrong.
